Olympic torch extinguished in Paris

PARIS —  About 3,000 French police — on motorcycles, in jogging gear and on skates — mobilized to protect the Olympic torch relay Monday when it departs from the Eiffel Tower and crisscrosses Paris amid threat of protests. (FOX NEWS)

Today, while the Olympic torch was on the Paris leg, there were some surprises.  On sunday, the torch was in London and obviously there were a lot of protests. But we all know that the French are very revolutionary, so we expected some resistence and protests in the French capital, Paris.

But it was beyond all expectations! The torch was extinguished three times during the Paris leg, and there was a moment when the torch was being hold but had no fire.

Activists angry about China’s human rights record and a recent crackdown on Tibet have been protesting along the torch route since the flame embarked on a 85,000-mile journey from Ancient Olympia in Greece to Beijing for the Aug. 8-24 Olympic Games.

We are really looking forward on what is going to happen with the Olympic torch. How will it arrive in Beijing, if it will? Beijing 2008 was probably one of the most disputed Olympic games ever.

Breizh touch parade last year

Last year, on the big Champ Elysees in Paris, there was a great parade of 3000 celtic and breton singers and dancers, who really made something big out of themselves. The music, the costumes, and the unending crowds who watched it, made that september day one to be remembered.

GAUFRE SUCRE

So last night I was having a very agitated dream, and there were so many problems to fix. But I said I`ll fix them later, got on a train, and went straight to Paris to buy a waffle. I spoke in my dream both German and French, which means I handle these languages well and I bought my favorite: a gaufre sucre! Meaning with sugar only! After that I could fix all the problems of the dream.

I simply adore waffles!
