Well, I imagine it is somehow my duty as a person living on Romanian terrotory to write about the NATO summit that just ended in our capital, Bucharest. Everybody was here: George Bush, Sarkozy, Putin, Angela Merkel and so many more. For us Romanians was very disgusting the fact that just the region seen by these leaders were completely renovated and made to look beautiful, and everybody was advised to go away from Bucharest for the week, as they don`t need the people there during the summit. 
Making things new on the streets the presidents saw was something usually done in communism.
I don`t know much about what was discussed ( I know Albania and Croatia were invited to join NATO. I don`t know. Does that change my life?) Macedonia was not asked to join, because Greece couldn`t accept the name of the state, as they clame the name for a region or something. Enlighten me, please.
The summit was the only thing discussed on television here in the past week. And of course all important people in Romania photographed themselves with Bush, like our president in the picture. Our PM too, and whatever.
Well, another subject were the anti- NATO demonstrations, everybody has heared about, and about which you could read on another article. We`ve seen anarchists invited on talk shows, angry ‘hood- rappers’ who were saying their point of view, extreme violences, and people who had no clue what was going on. One even said George Putin came to Bucharest. Others know “the big ones are coming”.
However, I`m happy it`s over, we`re all alone again, left helpless deep in Europe. But now more people know we exist, and that finally, Bucharest is NOT the capital of Hungary.
It was just shocking what we`ve seen on the news in the last days.You might have heared that during the next week end all important presidents of the world and many more “important people” will be coming to Bucharest, where there will take place the International NATO summit. Never mind, what kind of creepy stuff the Bucharest municipality makes in order for the summit to be possible, and that George Bush, Putin and Sarkozy are coming to Romania. Doesn`t impress me.
It heals a lot of people, and there are also perfect things, like the way the light gets in when the sun shines, on particular holidays. Take a look. Later on, I met a monk who lives nearby, and I will probably talk to him again, sometime in the future.Watch some preview the captions on Youtube.
